I've been happy, sad, depressed, and feeling iffy all summer, but I guess that's what you get when your a teenager! It's not that my life is horrible, it just feels hard sometimes and even a little lonely. I mean, I live with 2 siblings (Zach is going to BYU) and my parents and have great friends, but sometimes I wish I could just talk to someone ELSE, someone who didn't know me, someone who cared, but wasnt all there.
I don't know.

Proposals?
A few years ago I wrote a post intitled: How do you want a guy to propose?
and here is what I wrote :
Are you one of those people that like the "get down on one knee" proposals? Or do you daydream of clever ways a man could propose?
Today I was thinking it would be cool if the guy brought you cupcakes with rings for a celebration of some sort and you find a real ring on one of them. But then, I was thinking it depends on the guy and how he says it. Although, if I loved the guy, I don't think I would care. But thinking about it, I would want it to be more romantical then rings and cupcakes. Something formal, yet something that says "I don't care what we are doing or where we are, I will always love you." As I said before, if I love the guy I won't care. But it is fun to think about. I mean, what else do I have to think about? School is boring and why think about the bad in the world? Friends are always in the back of my mind (as they know) so why not think about it? And I have a lot of time to fantasize. I am only 14 after all. But, maybe I should be thinking about dating before the actual proposal.
Yet again, I am going to go before I bore you.
With those thoughts,
Stargirl
Other then spelling "romantical" wrong(?) I have come to realize a lot about this topic. A) Dreams don't come true B) Men don't think like us.
Its a sad concept but its true. And the only reason I bring this up, is because my loving(ish) friend KC decided to ask the guy I like out which kind of sucks. But I have decided it was okay because I have almost no desire to date, much less get in a relationship! HA!
But also, thinking back, I really would love to have a guy propose to me in this way... or ask me to prom (which I can never go to BTW)
Ya,
Sometimes life can be a little depressing.

Burning Barbie OR Sweet 16 Part 2
Before we begin, I want you to know, I never meant to harm Barbie, It was just a misfortune...
The day began well, I got up and we had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! I had dressed up since I was supposed to go to lunch with my grandmother and wore a cute new shirt with capri's and new shoes. After breakfast we noted a purple spot on the carpet from where I had spilled my shampoo (accidentally) and spent over an hour trying to scub it out of the carpet... when my grandma came,We went to Super Salad and Barns and Noble.
That night, I had a party with my cousins, aunts and my lovely(but anoying) sister and mother. We had a Barbie cake that caused lots of problems...
A) it was naked. B) the candles were too close to her and we burnt her arms and hair... but I don't feel too bad for Barbie. She is too perfect!
And then we watched the Little Mermaid two. The end.

Gone "Camping"
The family trip took us to Idaho for a week... The first day was spent driving (5 hours) and then setting up camp. My grandma had gotten the family several cabins so me and my other (girl) cousins all stayed in one cabin with one of my Aunts and Uncles. There where 4 of us(including me)in the loft area, two on a pull-out bed downstairs and my Aunt and Uncle in a private room. It was nice, I shared a bed with one of my favorite cousins and the other two cousins were family I had (sadly)never met. As I travel and move quite a bit during the years of my life, sometimes I miss out on seeing family and meeting new members. It comes with being me. A Gypsy. More specifically, a shy-LDS Gypsy. Sometimes I don't know where to call home!
Anyway-back to my post...
The second day, we went rafting and tubing down the river in the morning and I spent the afternoon taking a 4 hour nap and a shower. I should probably mention that I fell off of the raft... and my brother steped into a giant whole, and my sister nearly drowned, my unlce lost s paddle, and going back to get it lost a shoe and We had to help quite a few of my cousins (and brother) get out of tangles while they were tubing. It was quite an adventure! It took us a grand total of 4 hours to go down the river.
That night, we went and saw "Home School Musical" it was a good show, it made fun of High School Musical, Napolian Dynamite, Homeschooling, Mormons, BYU (Cougars) and Twilite. It included characters such as
"Lanolium Dynamite"
"Amanda Hugandkiss"
"Zac Tefelon"
It was an amazing show! They did such a great job! At one point they chose my Uncle to be part of the show and we will never let him forget it!
At halftime, they asked people if there were any upcoming birthdays and my family singled me out since I was turing 16 and the man/lady asked me my name and I told her, and she said"Darcie, spelled D-A-R-C-Y?"
I respnded saying: "No, I-E"
She/he sayed: "Don't you correct me young lady!"
It was really funny, I was sang to along with 6 or 7 others and was given a clown nose. My cousin recieved a make-up brush, and one kid got a lysol can lid! It was my favorite night there!
The next few days were spent in Yellowstone and seeing wildlife, It too was fun!
All in all, although not really camping, it was fun... except the bed, because I think mine had bed-bugs in it!
